Chairperson
Liz Coley [email protected] Liz was born in England, emigrated to George Town, Tasmania and attended Primary and High School there. She returned to England, married and started a family, arrived in Perth in 1972 and moved to Manjimup later that year. Has worked in a variety of occupations, first job as a booking office clerk and switchboard operator for British Rail, then joined a Real Estate firm as receptionist/secretary. Married and started a family then began part time work as waitress/short order cook at a local Café. After moving to Manjimup became a stay at home Mum until the youngest member of the family started high school, then worked in a local packing shed, sorting, packing etc. A love of the outdoors led to several years of farm work, vegetable picking and planting, worked in the retail trade for 8 years, also ran her own business, carpet overlocking. Joined the Manjimup Rovers Soccer Club in 2003 as a committee member and volunteered to run the Canteen, did that for 10 years, also acted as treasurer, secretary and registrar. Still involved as a committee member and helps with fundraising. Volunteer at the Kitchen Pantry. Became involved with the Community Resource Centre in June 2014 writing articles for Café Bytes (community newsletter) and still a current contributor. Joined the Board of Management in June 2019, nominated as Membership Officer, elected as Vice Chairperson in January 2020, elected as Chairperson in June 2020. In her spare time, loves to write, garden and cook, is a passionate supporter of local football and soccer and never misses a speedway meeting. |
Vice Chairperson
Kathy Hill Kathy was born in Manjimup, grew up with a farming family at Balbarrup, attending School at St Joseph's Convent. Her first job was as Receptionist for Dr David Phelan before travelling and working in Eastern Australia and New Zealand for twelve months. On her return to Manjimup, Kathy was a Shop Assistant at Musgroves Manjimup, Clerk in Plans Office at Bunnings Engineering Works then marrying and raising her three children and holding various positions on School Committees, including Secretary Warren Agricultural Show Committee for twelve months. Kathy then worked as a TAB employee, followed by Receptionist for Dr James Bowie, 26 years, retiring in 2018. She has continued to be actively involved with volunteer roles, joining the Board with Manjimup CRC in 2014 when Manji Cafe Bytes was first produced, which she continues today. |

Clare Quinn Clare began her life in the goldfields. One parent from WA and the other from Victoria , She travelled a lot between the states. Clare trained as an enrolled nurse in Merridin then nursed in Kalgoolie, Merridin, Bruce Rock and then eventually in Kellerberrin. She then worked in childcare and spent 26 years in China teaching ESL to kindergarten children . After coming back to Australia she Joined HACC and worked with aged and disabilities. Clare's main achievement was fighting for country people to get their transport paid when travelling to the city. IPTAS (Now PATS) began and is now Australian wide. Clare is a mother of three and a gran of ten, 9 grandsons and 1 granddaughter "I am here to try to make a difference" |
