NEW LAWS TO PROTECT SMALL BUSINESSES
Businesses will soon be protected from unfair contract terms due to a new law that comes into place from 12 November. If you’re a small business or farmer with less than 20 employees you will be able to void any unfair contract conditions. A contract is deemed unfair if a party to the contract can: avoid or limit their obligations under the contract; terminate the contract; vary terms; and/or be penalised for breaching or terminating the contract.
