About us

The Victim Support program assists victims of crime through the court processes and with brief counselling and support.  This is where you come in…

About the role
You will join a passionate multi agency, multidisciplinary team of like-minded professionals that focuses on providing support to victims of crime.  You will be based at the Courts and will ensure professional, timely and culturally appropriate information and support to victims of crime
About you
You are passionate about victim support with a sound knowledge of the justice system.  You are person centred, strengths based and trauma informed. 
Education Requirements:
  1. Tertiary level qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline
Qualities you bring:
  1. highly developed communication and networking skills
  2.  demonstrated ability to engage and build strong relationships with victims of crime. 
  3. the ability to maintain professional documentation and administrative systems
  4. experience handling and reviewing complex cases
  5. the ability to prepare meaningful victim impact statements that have relevance to the courts and other decision making bodies embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion
  6. be highly organised and capable of working independently
  7.  an ability to set personal limits
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, Working With Children Check, and a WA Drivers Licence.
Remuneration
  1. $71,873 - $75,127 full time salary range per annum pro rata + 9.5% superannuation
  2. In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount.
