Short Courses
 
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACCREDITATION 3 DAY COURSE (NEW)
This 3 day course is run from 9:00am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd & Wednesday 23rd May 2018
Implement Traffic Management Plan (Basic Worksite Traffic Management) is for people who want to work in traffic management on public roads and other designated traffic management areas. Control Traffic with a Stop/Slow Bat (Traffic Controller) is for people who want to work as traffic controllers on public roads and other designated traffic management areas. This course will provide trainees with the knowledge and skills required to be able to safely control traffic with a stop/slow bat in accordance with Main Roads WA requirements and implement basic traffic management plans for works on roads. This three day course includes written and practical assessments, including mandatory practical logbook assessments. At the conclusion of the course, successful participants will receive a statement of attainment and MRWA accreditation.
Requirements and Practical
Participants must hold and produce evidence of a valid driver's licence, or evidence of previously having held a driver's licence (no learner's permits or moped licences) and also a Whitecard (Safety Awareness Training) in order for attendees to complete the logbook component of the training and to be issued with this accreditation to work on a road site. Student must also have literacy and numeracy skills to a level that will allow you to complete the written component of the assessment. For the practical assessment, all participants are required to wear appropriate PPE work wear.
 
TLILIC2001A - Operate a Forklift
This course is run over 2 days from 9:00am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th May 2018
Thursday 24th & Friday 25th May 2018
Thursday 31st May & Friday 1st June 2018
This course is relevant for anyone wishing to obtain the Nationally Recognised High Risk Work Licence to Operate a Forklift. Students will be awarded the High Risk Licence class LF that is recognised across all Australian States and Territories. Minimum age to participate in this course is 18 years of age.
 
AHCMOM202A - Operate a Tractor
This one day course is run from 9:00am to 3:00pm on the following dates:
Friday 25th May 2018
This course will take you through the process of operating tractors with or without attached equipment and defines the standard required to: carry out pre-operational checks; operate in a safe and controlled manner; implement shut-down procedures; store machinery and equipment and record maintenance and operation details.
 
TLILIC2005 - Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform
This course is run over 2 days from 8:30am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th May 2018
This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) safely and equip you with the knowledge and confidence to obtain a National WP licence.
 
AHCARB205A - Operate and Maintain Chainsaws
This one day course is run from 8:30am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday 10th May 2018
This course covers the process of: maintaining, preparing and operating hand-held chainsaws. You will gain skills and knowledge in understanding the correct type of chainsaw for a particular task, how to use the chainsaw, maintain the chainsaw and store suitable personal protective equipment.
 
AusChem Accreditation
AHCCHM303A - Prepare and Apply Chemicals
AHCCHM304A - Transport, Handle and Store Chemicals
This course is run over 2 days from 9:00am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday 7th & Friday 8th June 2018
This 2 day course is intended for those working with chemicals and gaining AusChem WA accreditation. This is an AQTF Level 3 course designed for people who will be spraying WITHOUT supervision.
 
AusChem Re-Accreditation
AHCCHM401A - Minimise Risks in the Use of Chemicals
This one day course is run from 9:00am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday 14th June 2018.
This one-day course is an essential update for primary producers in all aspects of chemical use and is designed to maintain AusChem WA accreditation. It covers new information in environmental safety, personal and occupational health and safety, legislation and much more.

BSBFIA303 - Process Accounts Payable and Receivable
BSBFIA302 - Process Payroll
This course is delivered over five weeks, on a Friday from 12:45pm to 3:00pm in Term Two.
Learn how to manage your business accounts payable and receivable as well as how to process payroll.
 
HLTAID001 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR Refresher)
This half day course is run from 8:30am to 12:00pm on the following dates:
Friday 4th May 2018
Friday 22nd June 2018
This unit refreshes your skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. It is recommended that you refresh your first aid training every 12 months.
 
HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid
This one day course is run from 8:30am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Friday 4th May 2018
Friday 22nd June 2018
This course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations and provide a first aid response to a casualty.
 
HLTAID004 - Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting (First Aid for Childcare workers only)
This one day course is run from 8:30am to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Friday 4th May 2018
Friday 22nd June 2018
This course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations and provide a first aid response to a casualty, including asthma and anaphylaxis.

CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
This one day course is run from 8:30am to 2:00pm on the following dates:

To enter a building site in Australia it is a requirement to hold a current General Induction card, also known as a 'White Card' (formerly Blue Card). The card is valid for use on all construction sites in Australia. All people who wish to enter, and/or work on construction sites should complete this training.
 
RIIWHS202D - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
This course is run over 1 day from 8:30am to 4:30pm on the following dates:

Using Chemicals Safely in the Workplace

This AusChem Training WA course is suitable for workers who use hazardous substances and dangerous goods in their job. The program fulfils the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996 in relation to 5.21 Induction and Training.

Please note that these short courses are very competitive so students must be enrolled to secure their place in the course as places are limited. If these scheduled courses fill up, the Manjimup Campus is happy to accommodate your needs and run extra courses. Onsite delivery for courses is also an option and available at a date that suits you (Minimum numbers required). Please contact us to discuss your training needs for 2018. Concession rates also apply for valid concession card holders.
