 Manjimup Bluegrass and Old Time Music Weekend. September 21st -24th, 2018 We are excited to be hosting another Bluegrass and Old Timey Music long weekend. This year our guest musicians are Ashlee Watkins, Andrew Small and Jeremy Marcotte. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCde55bhutA  The New Macedon Rangers ( Ash & Andy) perform a range of traditional dance music from North Carolina and Virginia to mountain ballads and early country songs. Stirring vocal harmonies and driving instrumentals tap into the essence of traditional mountain music while original tunes and songs move the tradition forward. They are winners of many awards including:
2018 - 1st Prize Old-Time Band, Fiddler's Grove 2017 - 1st Prize Old Time Band, Hoppin’ John Fiddlers’ Convention. The versatile duo has also won blue ribbons for fiddle, banjo, and folk singing as well as the 2015 Australian National Bluegrass Mandolin Championship. Weekend Events: Saturday Night Concert: New Macedon Rangers with Jeremy Marcotte support act Doug and Cletus Sunday Night Blackboard Concert Open to all Tuition Guitar, Mandolin, Fiddle, Double Bass, Banjo, Band Craft and Vocal Harmonies.
