​Manjimup Community Resource Centre welcomed two new tenants to their premises

​Manjimup Community Resource Centre welcomed two new tenants to their premises: Australia’s largest social purpose organization, Life Without Barriers, and disability employment service provider, Joblife Employment.
Emma Pickering, employment consultant with Joblife, said the team at the resource centre had been incredibly welcoming and supportive in helping them settle into the centre.
“It is a warm and inviting place to operate a business from, with the network of services in the centre providing a range of support for Manjimup residents,” she said.
Joblife is a joint venture between Life without Barriers and Jobfind, a five star disability employment service with a strong track record of supporting people seeking paid work.
“The changes to the Australian Government’s Disability Employment Services, which kicked in on 2 July, will see a huge improvement in the delivery of services to people who live with a disability, illness or are recovering from an injury.
“Employers can receive up to $10,000 in wage subsidies and additional funds for workplace modifications. These are just some of the benefits to hiring a person with a disability that the Australian Government provides, and we’ll do the rest, including finding the right person for the job.”
Ms Pickering said there were also incentives and support for employed people living with a health condition that was impacting on their ability to stay in their job.
