Southern Forest Employment Hub

A little about SFEH

The Southern Forest Employment Hub   allows employers from all industries across the whole region easy access to exchange information on the availability of jobs and will allow job seekers to lodge their details as well.

Information

The   Southern Forests  Employment Hub is a pilot program, developed by the   Manjimup    Community Resource   Centre   in conjunction with AgriFood Skills Australia. After identifying a service gap between employers and those seeking work in the area, it was established that "word of mouth" was not keeping up with the labour demands, and many skilled workers were not aware of local opportunities for employment.
Due to the diverse industry in our Southern Forest area, required labour demands vary from sector to sector, and can be hard to source and expensive to recruit. To ease this burden, we have created a system which will allow the employer access to job seekers looking for work in our wonderful part of the world.
Designed to be a user managed system, the site has been developed to enable employers to:

  • Advertise available positions
  • Pre-plan for future labour requirements
  • Deal with those unexpected labour shortages
  • Search for specific skill sets in each industry
  • Direct seasonal workers to a website, rather than the front gate
  • Assist with contacting available job seekers

We have also included, for your convenience:
  • A list of training providers, some packages are available on the job.
  • Many useful employer related links, to assist you in obtaining information regarding your rights and obligations as an employer. i.e. Australian Taxation Office, Department of Commerce, Department of Immigration etc.

Simply go to   http://southernforestsemploymenthub.com.au/ click the employer tab>create an account and you're all set to start your recruitment journey.
The website now needs community support to test capabilities and fine tune, your participation and feedback will help ensure its ongoing success.
Should you wish for a guided tour through the website, our staff are happy to assist, either by group presentation, at our offices, or on-site.
The Manjimup Community Resource Centre is a part of the West Australian Community Resource Network.
The Western Australian Community Resource Network is a Royalties for Regions Initiative.
We are also proud members of Link West.
