uLaunch partners with people living with disability, illness and injury to co-create new pathways to fulfilling and meaningful employment. We believe that people living with a disability deserve every opportunity to live a self-determined strong life of confidence and pride, thriving in their community.
A partnership with leading social purpose organisation, Purple Hands Foundation started with the setting up of a new Sensory Room at Fremantle Dockers’ Optus Stadium home games, which provides people living with disability access to a quiet space during the games. The partnership will also expand the footprint of the Goals aHead program that educates secondary school students on ways to build resilience and promotes positive health and mental wellbeing. Their Vision: Helping build healthy, united and sustainable WA communities.
Our wrap around services mean we are more than an employment provider. We consider each person’s individual circumstances and work towards getting people with a disability into paid employment in an open market.
In particular we work on getting people job ready – building their confidence for interview situations, developing their resume, helping them with job search, providing smart phones so they can stay connected and do online research, and helping them to access training to bridge skills gaps.
Our Manjimup office, located in the Manjimup Community Resource Centre, is highly responsive and sensitive to the needs of our clients. We are local and connected to the community, and bring genuine values of care and support to our operation.
One in five Australians have a disability. Opening up employment opportunities that are more inclusive gives employers a great talent pool to choose from.
